Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, and pharmaceuticals using company-provided temperature-controlled equipment
- Maintain precise documentation and chain-of-custody protocols for all medical shipments
- Perform pre-trip inspections of company vehicles and specialized transport equipment
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and biohazard safety protocols at all times
- Monitor and report equipment malfunctions or temperature deviations immediately
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical logistics certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-sensitive equipment
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling and biohazard safety
- Proficient with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
