Responsibilities
- Secure Transport: Safely and securely transport temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, lab specimens, and medical equipment to various healthcare facilities in San Francisco.
- Equipment Management: Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the company-provided medical transport vehicles and equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all HIPAA regulations and company protocols regarding the handling of sensitive medical materials.
- Route Planning: Utilize provided GPS tracking to optimize delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals at all drop-off points.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and submit delivery logs, invoices, and proof of delivery forms.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with hospital staff, receptionists, and medical personnel to facilitate smooth deliveries.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Reliability: Proven history of punctuality, time management, and reliability in previous driving roles.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanning devices and GPS systems.
- Availability: Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as required by the medical facility schedules.
