Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, prescriptions, and sensitive documents to various medical facilities in the Sacramento area.
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance standards and safety protocols to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices to track package status and update delivery information in real-time.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary vehicle interior.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all routes are completed within the assigned timeframe.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare facility staff upon delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening process.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with mobile technology, including GPS navigation and scanning apps.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
