Responsibilities
- Delivery Operations: Pick up and transport medical specimens, lab results, and pharmaceuticals to designated hospitals, clinics, and testing facilities within San Jose.
- Technology Use: Utilize handheld scanners and mobile applications to accurately log deliveries, track inventory, and provide real-time proof of delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, including regular checks of fuel levels and tire pressure.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and company policies regarding patient confidentiality and hazardous materials.
- Time Management: Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs to meet critical care deadlines, even during peak hours.
- Documentation: Complete and submit accurate daily logs and delivery paperwork as required.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no major infractions).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- Experience: Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in the logistics industry is preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new mobile software quickly.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
