Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Adhere to strict HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data confidentiality
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and electronic tracking documentation
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness of transport units
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with priority routing capabilities
- Implement sterile handling procedures for sensitive medical materials
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transportation certification preferred
- Experience with temperature-controlled logistics or medical transport
- Proficiency in GPS navigation and electronic delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
