Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and pick-up/drop-off scheduling
- Implement secure loading/unloading procedures and cargo security protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding shipment status
- Report mechanical issues and participate in preventative maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong navigation skills and experience with route planning software
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
