Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of district-provided buses
- Enforce safety protocols during student boarding and exiting
- Maintain accurate passenger records and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety policies
- Assist students with mobility needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Driver Certificate (DMV-issued)
- Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam
- Minimum 1-year commercial driving experience
- Clear background check and driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Fluent in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
