Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes and field trips
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce student safety protocols and maintain orderly bus conduct
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and dispatch staff
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety regulations
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Respond calmly to emergency situations and student needs
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement
- School Bus Driver certification (or willingness to obtain during paid training)
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication skills and patience with children
- Flexible availability for early morning/afternoon shifts
