Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and conflict resolution
- Adapt routes efficiently during weather emergencies or traffic disruptions
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Participate in monthly safety training and certification updates
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions in past 5 years
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and patience with diverse student populations
- Flexibility for early morning/afternoon shifts and occasional overtime
