Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) for intermodal and regional routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation (ELD compliance)
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient load planning and on-time deliveries
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and Alaska-specific transport laws
- Assist with secure cargo handling and loading/unloading protocols
- Participate in seasonal route optimization for Alaskan conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional freight experience
- HazMat endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Alaska road systems and winter driving protocols
- Proficient with electronic logging devices and transportation software
