Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on assigned routes following precise schedules and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with firm yet nurturing communication
- Adapt routes for field trips, athletic events, and emergency situations
- Complete accurate incident reports and mileage documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch and school staff on logistics
- Maintain strict adherence to Maryland MVA regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Child Protection Services clearance and fingerprinting
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Background in education or youth services valued
