Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following strict safety protocols and traffic regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and established discipline procedures
- Adhere to precise routes and schedules while maintaining punctuality
- Document transportation incidents and submit accurate daily reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and driving record
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to student safety and exceptional service
