Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on assigned routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of buses to ensure mechanical safety
- Maintain a positive and secure environment for all passengers
- Adhere to traffic laws and district transportation policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Complete required paperwork and incident reports accurately
- Assist students with boarding/alighting and special needs accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certificate
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility devices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work early mornings and flexible schedules
