Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and established protocols
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reporting documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary during emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Child Passenger Safety certification preferred
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 5 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
