Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to passengers throughout Newark and surrounding areas
- Maintain a 4.8+ driver rating through exceptional customer service and professionalism
- Optimize routes using real-time traffic data to maximize efficiency and passenger satisfaction
- Complete vehicle inspections daily to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness
- Utilize CityRide's proprietary app to manage rides, track earnings, and access support resources
- Adhere to all local traffic laws and CityRide's service standards at all times
- Participate in driver training programs to enhance safety protocols and customer engagement skills
Qualifications
- Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving record
- Must own a 4-door vehicle model year 2011 or newer in excellent condition
- Smartphone proficiency with ability to navigate apps and troubleshoot basic issues
- Strong knowledge of Newark geography and surrounding areas
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and vehicle inspection
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to passenger safety
- Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic English fluency (additional languages a plus for diverse communities)
