Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages throughout Virginia Beach metropolitan area
- Load/unload cargo efficiently while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols during all operations
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal route planning and time management
- Complete delivery documentation and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Knowledge of Virginia Beach area streets and landmarks
