Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your 24+ ft box truck for local/regional deliveries
- Manage all aspects of your business: route planning, scheduling, and client relations
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients
- Optimize routes for maximum efficiency and fuel savings
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Reliable 24+ ft box truck (2015 or newer preferred)
- Strong customer service and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic accounting and record-keeping knowledge
