Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided box trucks for local and regional freight deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while maximizing fuel efficiency
- Represent MetroFreight Logistics professionally with all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Arlington metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor truck troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Reliable smartphone with data connectivity for dispatch apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally for freight handling
