Responsibilities
- Safely Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Route Management: Deliver packages along assigned routes in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages to customer doorsteps and handling inquiries professionally.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and Amazon DSP policies at all times.
- Technology Use: Utilize handheld scanners and mobile devices to track packages and update delivery statuses.
- Package Handling: Verify package contents upon delivery and ensure secure placement, including navigating difficult access points.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Possess a valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong English language skills (read, write, and speak) for effective communication with customers and dispatch.
- Availability: Flexible availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, including holidays.
- Technology: Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, or handheld scanning devices.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Residency: Must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the San Francisco, CA area.
