Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) for local/regional routes
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system (ELD) compliance
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and customer communication
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Assist in freight documentation (BOLs, invoices, delivery confirmations)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Tampa metro area and Florida highway systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside repairs
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly and work in varied weather conditions
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and flexible hours
