Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A dump trucks (end-dump and bottom-dump) on various job sites.
- Load and unload materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) using skid steers or forklifts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer at all times.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding schedules and load requirements.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, OSHA regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning tasks on the vehicle as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT card) on file.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating dump trucks.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures.
