Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain daily electronic logging device (ELD) logs and complete vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) daily.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected from damage during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record (MVR check) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
