Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to transport freight to designated locations on schedule.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently using proper lifting equipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways in Texas and the DFW area.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for performing minor vehicle troubleshooting.
