Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently on various job sites throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
- Load and unload materials (gravel, dirt, asphalt, concrete) using proper loading equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of local Chicago roadways and traffic patterns.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends.
