Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) to transport cargo to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and records of duty status (RODS) in strict adherence to DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Handle minor vehicle maintenance and perform routine cleaning of the cab and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years (clean driving record required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road maps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging duties and communication.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry freight weighing up to 50 lbs.
