Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain safety logs
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and district protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic laws and school district policies
- Operate specialized equipment including wheelchair lifts when required
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and unexpected route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Child CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Reliable transportation to work depots
- Flexible availability during peak hours (6-9 AM, 2-5 PM)
