Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries in San Diego and surrounding areas
- Manage flexible scheduling to optimize personal productivity and meet delivery windows
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Coordinate loading/unloading procedures at distribution centers and client sites
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and coordinate repairs as needed
- Maximize route efficiency using provided GPS navigation tools
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR (3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck or straight truck experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Strong time management skills with ability to self-schedule
- Basic mechanical knowledge for pre/post-trip inspections
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
- Must own or have reliable access to DOT-compliant box truck
- Pass background check and drug screening
