Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport construction materials, debris, and bulk goods
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, local traffic laws, and company safety protocols
- Plan optimal routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Collaborate with site supervisors and project managers for seamless load coordination
- Manage proper loading/unloading procedures to prevent material spillage
- Document delivery receipts and report operational issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to obtain DOT medical certification and pass pre-employment drug screen
- Proficiency in reading maps and using GPS navigation systems
- Strong understanding of weight distribution and cargo securement
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
