Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks on various construction sites and roadways.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload materials, including gravel, dirt, and asphalt, using forklifts or manual labor.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and customers.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Keep the vehicle and cab clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
