Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items properly.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying delivery details and obtaining signatures.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork in compliance with company and state regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
- Communicate promptly with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class B or CDL preferred, but not required for entry-level).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong sense of time management and punctuality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash or electronic transactions.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late nights if necessary.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
