Job Summary
As a Class A CDL Driver for Apex Transport Logistics, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods across the region. We pride ourselves on our on-time delivery record and customer satisfaction. We are looking for reliable individuals who take pride in their work and adhere to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (DOT Compliant) and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold a professional image and maintain a clean driving record.
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a Social Security Card and valid proof of residency.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to travel regionally and work varying shifts as needed.
