Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial tractor-trailers over long distances
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance
- Load/unload freight with proper handling protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Uphold Swift's zero-tolerance safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Ohio/Washington, DC area highways
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexible availability including weekends/holidays
