Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and routes
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate vehicle maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience preferred but not required
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of vehicle safety systems and preventive maintenance
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Willingness to undergo company-sponsored training program
