Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver time-sensitive shipments to designated locations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and required documentation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet tight deadlines
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges proactively
- Ensure secure handling of high-value or temperature-sensitive cargo
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience
- Knowledge of Washington D.C. metropolitan area roadways
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass DOT physical examination and background screening
