Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security.
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status and delivery issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (Preferred for drivers with CDL, but we offer paid training for new grads).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic English reading and comprehension skills.
- Willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
