Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes in the Baltimore area and beyond.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
- Clean driving record (MVR check will be conducted).
- Current DOT Medical Card in hand.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (OTR, Flatbed, or Dry Van).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of load securement and DOT regulations.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform manual labor.
