Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) on local and regional routes within North Carolina and surrounding states.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and address any route changes.
- Uphold a professional image at all times, including strict adherence to traffic laws and company policies.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of road maps, GPS navigation, and North Carolina traffic patterns.
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift and handle cargo, climb in and out of the cab, and perform manual tasks.
