Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive and operate dump trucks to transport materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites efficiently.
- Load & Unload: Assist in the loading of materials and ensure proper securement before transport to prevent accidents.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery receipts.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition.
- Site Safety: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols on-site.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and site supervisors.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid state-issued driver’s license is required.
- Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver's abstract showing a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, sit for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions regarding routes and delivery locations.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work as part of a crew and support other drivers and operators.
