Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to residential and commercial locations safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload packages, ensuring all items are handled with care and are free of damage.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain signatures for all deliveries to ensure accountability.
- Practice defensive driving techniques at all times to maintain a clean driving record.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with customers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; Class B preferred for local delivery.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to follow GPS directions accurately.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
