Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads according to safety regulations.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations at all times.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting if necessary.
- Ability to lift and carry freight weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US passport or Social Security card.
