Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances (OTR) adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and cargo are secure.
- Load and unload cargo accurately and efficiently, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) and DOT physical on file.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
