Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on dedicated routes with predictable home time
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and DOT compliance documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and exceptions
- Ensure secure cargo handling and adherence to safety protocols
- Optimize route efficiency while adhering to delivery schedules
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance team
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including overnight travel
