Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to residential and commercial clients in the Detroit metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling, securing of freight, and adherence to weight limits.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and digital tracking systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of local Detroit area geography and traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
