Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations in Louisville, KY, and surrounding Ohio areas.
- Inspect vehicles before, during, and after trips to ensure mechanical safety and report any issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, ensuring weight distribution is secure.
- Verify delivery accuracy and obtain necessary signatures from recipients for billing purposes.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong understanding of road maps and GPS navigation systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
