You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight across the Indiana region, ensuring our customers receive their goods with precision and care.</p>
Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.</li><li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.</li><li>Verify cargo loads for damage and accuracy before and after transit.</li><li>Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.</li><li>Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of the driver, cargo, and other road users.</li><li>Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.</li><li>Unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper handling of sensitive materials.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.</li><li>Current DOT medical card and DOT drug screen clearance.</li><li>Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.</li><li>Must be 21 years of age or older.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend maps, delivery schedules, and safety manuals.</li><li>Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.</li></ul>
