Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation (Bill of Lading, delivery receipts).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle cargo loading/unloading.
