Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class B trucks safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks with precision and care.
- Maintain accurate daily logbooks and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR).
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected against weather and damage.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Air Brake endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic math skills for change-making and inventory management.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
