Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload freight, ensuring cargo integrity and security at every stop.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
- Navigate efficiently using advanced GPS systems to adhere to delivery schedules and routes.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including Hours of Service (HOS) and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work a varied schedule (nights/weekends).
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading duties and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
