Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) across Illinois and Midwest routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and strict safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining accurate delivery records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and professional conduct at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Illinois roadways and weather conditions
- Flexible schedule including weekends and overnight trips
- hazmat endorsement preferred
