Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to transport freight according to DOT regulations
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes while maintaining strict adherence to schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of goods with proper weight distribution
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Strong knowledge of Maryland/North Carolina traffic laws and routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
